Every business that wants to sell liquor must get an annual license.
Submit these items with the application:
- Floor plan of the premises to be licensed
- Certificate of insurance
- Certificate of compliance for Minnesota workers’ compensation law
- Consent of release of information for background check for owners and managers
- Filed copy of articles of incorporation (for corporate applicants)
- Executed copy of partnership agreement (for partnership applicants)
- Copy of lease
- Fee:
- Intoxicating liquor on-sale: $5,000 or $4,000 with training
- Intoxicating liquor on-sale, wine: $1,000
- Intoxicating liquor on-sale, vet organization: $300
- Intoxicating liquor off-sale: $200
- Intoxicating liquor Sunday sale: $200
- 3.2 percent liquor on-sale: $150
- 3.2 percent liquor off-sale: $50
- Special event: $10
- Transfer: $200
- Investigation fee: $200
