Shoreview features 16 parks with over 1400 acres of park and open space, which is 18 percent of the city land area. There are 11 city parks and five county parks. In addition, Shoreview has over 60 miles of trails and sidewalks that connect most neighborhoods to parks, schools and commercial areas. See trail map >>

In 2004, the city council approved a tobacco-free park policy. You cannot use tobacco products in city parks, facilities, or open spaces except for designated areas around the community center and Commons Park pavilion.
