There are a variety of plantings and yard care practices that can improve water quality and benefit wildlife, such as pollinators. Read below for descriptions and resources of different types of plantings.
Native species are available each year through the city's tree sale, as well as at the city-sponsored Landscape Revival Native Plant sale, occurring the second Saturday in June each year at Shepherd of the Hills Church.

- Watershed Districts - Shoreview falls within two watershed districts. Both offer grant programs for qualifying rain gardens and native plantings. Use the interactive map on either site to determine which watershed district you live in.
- Ramsey County offers technical assistance and cost share funds to residents on qualifying restoration projects.
