Indigenous MN - Dakota language preservation

The Shoreview Human Rights Commission is partnering with Ramsey County Library and Do Good Roseville to host this three-part virtual series.

Indigenous scholars will focus on the cultural heritage of Dakota, Ojibwe, Ho-Chunk, and other Indigenous peoples in Minnesota. Each presentation will offer an introduction to topics relevant to Indigenous peoples today, including language preservation, place name reclamation, treaties and sovereignty, arts, and more. The sessions will include a question and answer period with the audience.

Registration for the series will allow you to attend any of the sessions you would like.

This program series is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
