  • Thursday, May 8: Annual community center members
  • Friday, May 9: Open to public

How to register

We offer 3 easy ways to register!

  1. Register online
  2. In-person at Shoreview Parks & Recreation Office
  3. Over the phone with credit card during office hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Register online

  • New to the system?
    • Create an account online before registration day
  • Forgot your username or password and haven't registered your email with us?
    • Call 651-490-4750 Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
      • Please note that phone lines are extremely busy during registration week.

Registration process

  • You must register for all programs unless otherwise noted
  • Registrations are not accepted at program sites, unless stated
  • Individuals can register online, in person, fax, mail or drop-off
  • Drop off at:
    • Upper level park and recreation desk, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
    • Lower level community center service desk during community center hours
    • After-hours payment box, located to the left of city hall's front door
  • Registration priorities are given in the following order:
    • Online
    • In person
    • Mail, fax, or drop-off
  • Participants will receive registration confirmation via email only
  • Participants will be notified if classes are filled or cancelled
  • Programs have maximums and minimums
  • Register early for programs and events to ensure your spot
  • If the class you want to register for is full, you can register for the wait-list
    • There is no fee for a wait-list registration and no commitment
    • We will contact you if we are able to accommodate the wait-list
  • Residents are individuals whose legal residential address is within the City of Shoreview
    • We may ask for proof of residency

Fees and financial aid

Fees

  • Activity fees will not be pro-rated
  • Full payment is due at time of registration
  • Cash, checks, or major credit cards are accepted

  • Not all programs are eligible

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation policy

  • 10% fee for cancellations made 7 days or more before the class start date
  • 25% fee for cancellations made 6 days or less before the class start date
  • Programs/events under $10 are non-refundable
  • No refunds on or after the start date

Preschool cancellation policy

  • $100 registration fee is non-refundable
  • Full-day: cancel before June 1, refunded half of the first week's tuition
  • Half-day: cancel before June 1, refunded half of the first month's tuition
  • No refunds after June 1

Summer Discovery cancellation policy

  • No refunds for Summer Discovery cancellations 

Adventure Quest cancellation policy

  • 10% fee for cancellations made 14 days or more before camp start
  • 50% fee for cancellations made 13 days or less before camp start
  • No refunds after camp starts

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued by original form of payment or check

All are welcome

Programs are open to everyone

  • Provide information about special needs or support services at least two weeks before the program

Miscellaneous program policies

Age groups

  • Set to benefit the child and to provide effective group instruction
  • Contact the program coordinator if child is not in the correct age or grade group
  • Youth sports leagues do not allow participants to play above or below their age or grade group

Day care groups

Providers can enroll their daycare children in activities if parents sign the registration forms and pay. The daycare provider can be listed as an emergency contact.

Activity changes and schedules

Occasionally, we may need to change times or cancel programs. Participants will receive an email or phone call if a change or cancellation occurs.

Photographs and video

You or your child may see city staff taking pictures throughout the program or event. The city uses these to promote our programs in our recreation catalog, flyers, website, etc. Please let us know in writing if you do not want to be photographed or videotaped.

Satisfaction guarantee

We are committed to excellence and want to provide recreation programs that meet your expectations. Parks and recreation guarantees satisfaction with recreation classes, programs or events.

If you are not completely satisfied, we want to know. We will listen to your complaint and attempt to rectify your concerns, or transfer your registration fees to another program or session. Your suggestions and comments are valued and welcomed.
